1. I think that you choose blogging over regular writing because you wanted to spice things up in the class instead of doing it the old school way. Another feeling I get, is that you have a passion for using the world wide web in your classes than most teachers would. In my opinion, you choose to do blogging because you thought that it would have a better connection to the students because now days everyone does everything on the computer. Plus, when you do new things like this, it gives students a chance to learn more than just writing. They get the opportunity to learn how to ass links, videos, pictures and all kinds of other things. the most important one is Internet Safety. One slip up on a blog like this and you information is out there until you take it off and is available to anyone that happens to log on to your sight.
2. Throughout this section of Language Arts, i fell that I have accomplished many things that I never even would have thought of. I just recently learned hoe to add a full video screen into a post like my solar power one. With blogging you can change the background of your own personal page and it even goes all the way down to the small detail of getting to choose the color of your text! I also think that this whole blogging thing has helped my writing immensely. I feel that the downfall to blogging, which is no automatic capitalization, has helped me pay much more attention to capitalization and punctuation. The spell check is also a wonderful tool for typing. It saves a bunch of time when it comes to wondering how to spell a word. I am a computer person, so the connection I previously thought in my last answer was true about me. I love to type and find other blogs on the Internet. The research involved in putting correct information on the Internet is extremely helpful. I learned so many new things about my topics, but most of it was already in my head from previous experiences. The most intriguing thing I learned was how fast solar technology has advanced since it first began.
3. During this section of Language Arts I have learned many key concepts. On the research side, I have learn a little more information about plagiarizing and how east it can be. Of course I learned a lot about all the topics I wrote about. I realize now that, it is so much easier to write about something when you are given specific questions to answer. Right now, as I am writing this reflection, I am finding it some much easier than thinking of what to write about off the top of your head or surfing the massive world wide web. As is said earlier, i am a computer person, so I usually like doing everything on the computer when it is available. I never knew that any of this was accessible for free, plus you cam modify it in anyway you want. I learned a lot about technology throughout this section because I had to learn about the controls and I wrote all about technology, so that allowed me to see how fast technology has advanced in such few years.
4. The skills I learned this year in Language will definitely help me in future life. First, they will help me become a better writer and with this I will better in future school writing and then move on to business writing. Second, the technological skills will make all these things easier along the way. I also might be more capable of showing others how to write or use blogs. Third, a skill I have found valuable is having friends that are willing to help you whenever you need it and they won’t try and act like they know what they are doing, if they don’t know then they will say, “I don’t know, sorry.” The most important skill I learned is analyzing because it requires you to look your work over and see what can be different in order for it to be better.
